I just fill up the pot with water, put in some dishy liquid and let it boil for an hour.

Piut a layer of baking powder on the bottom and just enough water to cover the baking sda and soak overnight. I've burnt many a pot


I find once you scrub a pot a few times, it blackens much easier next time.

From the commercial kitchen.....add several inches of COLD water, bring to a boil and simmer for @20 mins, wash as usual, repeat if needed. Note....COLD water, not hot or warm! (don't ask why, I don't know......just know that it works, and at the bakery kitchen, we've burnt LOADS of things, lmao!!)
