Thanks for the info on Ziwipeak, BTW. I found a place we can purchase it here. Gary and I'll get over there - Lazlo could use some nutritionally dense food right now.
Really, REALLY awesome food Laurie! He might not like the texture though - you will see what I mean, it is really natural stuff, so you won't see the creamy texture you usually see on canned food. You notice that they actually put the real meat and organs in there - yummy for the kitties, kinda nasty for us. I have a little smoothie maker, so I add a bit of water and whip it into a cream - they go ga-ga.Originally Posted by LDG

Oh NO! Not a chubby sphynx!! (Although he'll always be beautiful!) Won't that be funny? I just hope he doesn't get an identity crisis on me - a friend of mine told me her dog got onto a shock and actually got sick - shy and felt naked after being shaved... oh boy
Yeah, we'd have to mix it. Our kitties don't eat chunks of anything. And they do eat the lamb & chicken... Holisitic food, I think it is, they usually don't like lamb either. But venison they love.I'm supposed to feed him chicken livers. Obviously not supermarket stuff. But I am going to start there - just give him a little teeney piece to see if he'll eat it before we order and invest the money it in.Ziwi is probably going to be great for him then - the second ingredient is always liver - Venison for example: 1st is venison, second is venison liver, 4th is venison heart. It will do him some good
Sorry! Didn't mean to sidetrack the thread!
Continued for Bugsy!

It just dawned on me that my friend's pure white cat also has a serious allergy to all chicken products. I'll have to pass along the info on Ziwi to her. I've not heard her talk about it. Is this another anomaly for white cats?!?!? No idea, but I do think they are a bit more problematic for sure... I think Bugsy was poor breeding
Like Laurie - caught this a bit late but am glad to hear that you seemed to have found a solution. hopefully....... I will get some appetite stimulant to leave here at the house though, and make sure Kelly's name is in the system there. I have never been away from them for 2 weeks and I am kind of freaking out
Keep eating Bugsy!!
Ha! You made me laugh out loud with this comparison.Originally Posted by Carolina

He does have a belly though.... His "pouch" is more of a carry-on luggage...
We have talked about doing that to Punkin, in the summertime, but we never have. He has soooooo many hairballs in the summer!Originally Posted by Carolina
I think he is enjoying not having all that fur - is playing and running more... It must feel better!
His skin is sooooo smooth! He looks a lot smaller than he was before too - amazing how much fur he had!

I know how it is.... I have been thinking about it for a while too.... But then after talking to his vet yesterday, I got to the conclusiot it was the best thing I could do for him. He said hairballs can really havoc their system, including causing diarrhea.... well... Last thing I want to do is worsen Bugsy's diarrhea! When I told him the size of the hairball he passed,he was concerned. Bugsy a few weeks ago vomited a hairball that was as big as a sausage - no kidding, it was scary big. I groom groom groom him, give him vaseline, and he still passes ropes of hairball.Originally Posted by mrblanche
