Just got in from the vets with Bruce

They tried and failed to get blood from him. He got too distressed and laboured breathing
Lost lots more weight dispite eating 6 meals a day
They think he must have a underlying condition in addition to his cat flue
Could be anything. Cancer thyroid. Organ failure
Wont know as unable to get blood
They shaved his neck

He aslo has sinus and a chest infection
Been given sinoloux antibiotics 14 days 2 a day
And bysodyl powder
If he doesn't implove or loses more weight I'm. To brjng him. Back for euthanasia

I agree that there must be something else going on. It might even be beside the point if they got the blood or not if he is continuing to be so ill and thin. Confirming something serious like cancer does not mean that you could or would even treat it if he is doing so poorly.

I definitely agree that asking for gabapentin might be a big help. They should not require that you bring him back in since they just saw him.

It takes a while for antibiotice to kick in. My cats were always getting upper respiratory infections until I started them on DMG, an immune system supplement. They are doing much better. you could mix a half dropper in with his food. twice a day at first then once a day. I get it online at Walmart, Target, and Amazon.
