I rescued My little Mini from my mom's neighbor's farm two years ago. She was a runt and was constantly being beat up by the other barn cats. The farmers wife said that they were going to "put her out of her misery" I volunteered to take her. I nursed her back to health and she has been my joy ever since. When I knew she was going to live I took her in and had her spayed and a wellness check was done. It was then that I found out she has Feline Leukemia. She is so far doing well, but yesterday when I took her to the vet we discovered she has several broken teeth. The vet wants to remove them, and do a cleaning. I am wondering if this is the best approach for my little girl. I am worried about her not waking up. I am worried about her immune system not being able to heal from the surgery. I want what's best for her, I just don't know what's best. It feels like because of th FeLV that everything I do for her is a double edged sword. Also her gum look great, she just has some missing teeth... the vet even said she doesn't appear to have an infection. She eats great and is a healthy weight for her size. So my question is what should I do?
