Hi everyone! I`m "Hos" and am in Lodi(northern California). This site is really great, especially for someone with just about zero knowledge about owning and caring for a cat.To make a long story short: I began feeding a cute little all-black kitten that had been abandoned in the alley behind my place.I gave her pieces of lunchmeat and it touched my heart how after she ate she rubbed on me.Even though I`ve never had any great love or affection to cats in the past I did`nt dislike them.On day two I began to feed "the dark one" indoors since adult stray cats were being attracted by my feeding her outside.Well, you know how that goes. She actually moved closer to my place and started only showing herself when I called her with "kitty,kitty,kitty...".By now she was staying indoors much more and beginning to play,do cute stuff and cuddle with me.After the first week I bought cat stuff like a litter box, food, toys, generic flea meds and a brush. As of now she does not go outside at all.Her first vet visit will be very, very soon(even if I have to borrow $)and I`m researching low-cost spaying options.
Never, ever did I even imagine how cute and playful and fun a kitten/cat could be!I`ve always only been around mature or crabby older cats and always pegged the feline species as a snooty, finicky and not-fun pet.Little Alley(the Alley Cat!)has showed me how mistaken I was all these years!I`m the first to admit it! Cats are really nice pets and I was wrong!
Thanks for reading!(now wake up!)
