Ok, here's just one for me:

"A People's History of the United States" by Howard Zinn.
It's not a novel but it's just as easy to read. And very interesting (NOT the kind of history you usually learn in school). That book is one of the main reason I decided I wanted to be a historian.

What is your favourite book of all time, ever??
I enjoyed # 3 and have only read some of # 2. Am really into John Lescroart's mystery books right now but ONE of my all time Favorites is THE UNINVITED! I love it on TV too! "We aren't afraid of you Mary Meredith" OH! You don't like laughter?! Well that's too bad because there is going to be PLENTY of laughter in this house now!"

The Black stallion series..I know it sounds dumb but no matter how old I get I love those stories. I was at Petsmart that had a horse section the otherday. and they had the island stallion fiqure with the book..and well. it made me smile and mist up a bit

My favorite would have to be

Dune By Frank Herbert

along with all the other Dune books in the series

really good sci-fi...not too out there...good political basis...religion, tradition, love, sex, addiction....these books have everything..including huge sandworms....

I definitly recommend it.....

I don't have a favourite book but a set/series:

The entire Dragonlance series by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman
The Belgariad/Mallorean by David Eddings and
The Last Rune by Mark Anthony

And all fantasy with a bit of modern mixed in on the last set.
Ohhhhhh The Belgariad/Mallorean!!! I SWEAR I have read those series 1000 times I can NOT get enough they are sooo funny and fantastic. I just LOVE Mandorallen - he is a complete crack-up!!!
