My mom had a fasting glucose test and also the one which took the two hours in a doc office.
I can't recall the exam names of the "tests" but for one here number was "6".
And the other it was 117, then she drank the sugar stuff it went up to 143 then back down to 105.
She is in pretty good health and will be 80 in June. She does take meds for osteoporosis and a mild BP condition. Here biggest health concern to me is she doesn't eat alot and needs to put some some weight (I'll give it her some of mine!)
She is looking for a book or info on carbs. I told her she doesn't eat enough carbs or food in general to have her diet be a concern. She and my dad eat a pretty balanced diet.
Any suggestions I can pass along for easy to understand info would be great. They don't have a computer so any websites wouldn't be helpful.
