Hi All,
My 15 year old sweetie is blind, and now I suspect may be deaf in one ear. She can hear me, but can't find me even when I keep talking. She tends to walk in a circle. Has anyone else seen this?

Is her nose still ok, can you work with her through that?
Have you had a chance to speak with your vet?

DO check with your vet. You might even ask them about a geriatric specialist. I think that she is probably walking in circles towards the ear that she hears out of, but...sometimes walking in circles can indicate a tumor, and on the small chance that this is what is causing it, the sooner it is diagnosed, the better chance you have of a decent outcome. REMEMBER...this is a tiny chance, but why risk it?

Sould this be hearing loss, you can help her navigate by textures on the floor, such as small runners and rugs with differing textures, leading to different destinations. They learn that stuff pretty quickly.

Vet visit would be a good thing. We definitely need to keep up with those with our senior cats.
I am sure not being able to see, and if she is now loosing her hearing it would be very difficult for her. Very confusing. Sending her good vibes! :vibes:
