Hi all
I'm frazzled -it describes my house, my hair, my life - ME!
I've just spent two days reading the old threads about cats peeing where they shouldn't otta
I'm not new to message boards but new to this one - had to join so I could thank all who ever contributed to the threads.
I've got one cat (and my dh says it will be the only one) Abby the tabby. He is definately a dog person but I'm just an animal person - well I prefer those with fur!
My dear Mum was frightned of cats
and other than the one batch of kittens somebody dropped off at the house wasn't allowed to even think about them - did feed and care for those cats as long as they stayed around though - they slept in the barn. Anyway it suited my hubby just fine to promise my Mum when we married to never let me have a cat as long as she was alive.
The first Mother's Day after Mom passed I was inconsolable and just wanted to hibernate but my sisters shamed me and so we (dh and my 2 sisters and one's grandson) were all home to be with Dad. Well low and behold some nijit dropped off a kitten. I was good - I didn't go outside when my grand nephew heard it (cause I knew what would happen) they all did but she ran from them - thought it killed me i stayed in the house. Then I heard it out the back door on the deck and I broke
Don't you know, she ran from all the others but when I walked out there she came over and sat on my feet! I kinda feel my Mum sent her to me
(Hubby is still po'd at her
)
So that's how I got Abigale - the Abinator - that d@m% cat
Had her since spring of '06 and had her spayed asap.
She started peeing by the back door
and I've gleened a lot of info here - we're fixin to scrub the carpets - we've got the enzyme stuff - (remember the 3 dogs?
) and I gotta somehow figure out how to put foil there ??? (the door has to open and close and us walk) I think this started because we were gone - first I was gone (hubby here in evening and night) down home when my Dad was sick then when he passed both of us plus 3 dogs there a lot of over nights cleaning out the house.... Or she sees the cats out the back.... or the zillion other things suggested. We've had her to the vet already.
So that's my story - again so glad to have found this fountain of info
Oh, and by the way - I'm a talker (typer
) in case you didn't notice
and I luvs
smilies!
