Hi all! I really need some help. Boxer (my cat) had 100 or so bladder stones removed on Tuesday, September 17. It has been 5 days and I still haven't seen a normal sized amount of pee or heard a normal stream when he is going. I had to take him back to the vet on Thursday, September 19 because of constipation issues (my boy is really having a hard time going. He's had 3 enemas in the last week and a half). He's now eating Hill's Prescription Diet w/d dry and wet food. I am mixing in mirlax to help him poop until the constipation medicine arrives on Tuesday. He is currently getting 1/2 (up from a 1/4 because nothing at all was coming) teaspoon every 12 hours in a 1/8th of a can of wet food. He wasn't drinking water so this is the only way that I can make sure he is getting what he needs. I guess my question to you all is....how long before my boy is peeing a normal stream? Also, how long before I can let him clean himself in that area....he is starting to be a little bit stinky. I would love suggestions on whether giving him a bath (which he is going to hate) would help. Finally, when can I let him stop wearing the cone?
Thanks everyone!
