Hey y'all I have a question for you cat rescuers. It's my first time rescuing a kitten from outside. Our current cat we have, craigslist helped out as someone had found a mother with kittens in the dumpster. Anyways when my room mate and I were trying to rescue the little guy (he's tiny) he managed to sink a couple of teeth into my finger. It's a little red and tender today, but I don't have insurance so heading to the E.R. would cost me a fortune that I cannot feasibly pay right now as a college student. I just don't want to put this off and it become something worse that would cost me even more. I'm considering going to a minor emergency and just biting the bullet as to keep my finger healthy. The kitten seems to have puss coming from his eyes and has a puss pocket on his nose like he got scraped on his face or something. We're making a vet appointment to get the little guy checked out this week and get him on some shots soon. It doesn't look like rabies, but we're keeping him away from our other animals just in case. The poor thing was locked in one of those storage crates behind Target so I'm guessing he sneaked in while someone wasn't looking because I hate to think that an employee intentionally locked the little guy in there. Either way we're taking care of him and discussing either finding him a home or us keeping him, as he would just add to our crazy pack of animals that we love. Sorry that was a bunch but any info would be great! Thanks guys!
