Meet Birdie, our 16 month(ish) old. We found her at a wonderful rescue last fall when she was 4-6 months old. Her mother and the kittens were found in the garage of a foreclosed home by the realtors. After several months in foster care, the kittens were socialized enough to be adopted and we found her a week before she was available. Momma kitty definitely had the look of a Maine Coon type kitty - very large, ear tufts, super large furry feet
but Dad was obviously DSH. Birdie's three sisters (yes an all girl litter) were all DSH tabbies. Birdie has turned into a very large girl and is still growing I think - almost 13lbs - 13 inches from shoulder blades to base of her tail when standing normally and 17 inches when stretched out!
