I got a midsized truck for two reasons, I camp, and the small truck is a perfect size, I go offroad to camp, logging roads, no campgrounds, true wilderness, so the 4 wheel drive was needed.
It has the smallest 6 cyl engine available for the model, it's fairly easy on gas.
And I've actually moved twice since I got it, the towing capacity, plus the load capacity have come in handy both times, as it will soon do a third time.
I've also always lived in the west, where snow isn't so much of a problem as flooding and mudslides.
I do not understand people who buy SUVs or other road giants that clearly have no need of them.
