I got a midsized truck for two reasons, I camp, and the small truck is a perfect size, I go offroad to camp, logging roads, no campgrounds, true wilderness, so the 4 wheel drive was needed.
It has the smallest 6 cyl engine available for the model, it's fairly easy on gas.
And I've actually moved twice since I got it, the towing capacity, plus the load capacity have come in handy both times, as it will soon do a third time.

I've also always lived in the west, where snow isn't so much of a problem as flooding and mudslides.

I do not understand people who buy SUVs or other road giants that clearly have no need of them.

I drive a Tiburon and my husband drives a Mustang. We don't need anything bigger. Maybe when we have kids I'll get a sedan, but I don't understand the moms that drives big ass cars... If you need a big truck or SUV for work, fine... but just to haul around kids? My parents always had sedans and me and my brother were just fine in the backseat...
