Hi everyone!
My 8 year old female cat had bladder stones when she was 2 years old. She had blood in her urine, and the vet took x-rays, that was how she diagnosed with bladder stones. She was put on Hills S/D canned food to dissolve the stones in her bladder, then switched to Hills C/D canned food for preventing. She hasn’t flared up since.
Because my other cat has IBD, I’ve been reading a lot of the threads on here and catinfo.org, and I started to have doubts about prescription foods...
I am wondering if I need to change her diet… I still feed her C/D.
My question is do I still need to feed my cat a prescription food even though she had bladder stones a long time ago?
Also what brands of canned food do you recommend for a cat who had a history of bladder stones?
Any input would be appreciated, thank you!
