The pattern is classic tabby, also called marbled, blotched or bull-eye tabby. So you dont need to be no bengal to have this marbled tabby pattern.
But as the visuals is rather striking, its my guess he may have an Ancestor, say a granddad who was / is a marbled Bengal.
