Brief History:
I had surgery on April 7th....(I mention it because it can play a part in a cats behaviour, seeing their human in pain)
Kizzy was neutered on April 16 (9 months old).
Behaviour change #1: Over the last couple weeks, but especially since about 4-5days ago, Kizzy has changed.
He has become sooooo loving, constantly craving attention if he is not sleeping..... climbing onto my lap when I am on the computer (something he doesn't normally do).... everytime you turn around, he's flopping on the floor for belly rubs, anywhere I am, he is there too. I have to be careful not to step on him.
I am NOT complaining. I am just curious if it is a normal after neutering. Aside from me having surgery, nothing else has changed in our household.
Behaviour Change #2: Within the last week, Kizzy has started to play aggressively. Meaning, using my arm to bunny kick, and nipping at me while we are playing. These are play nips, NOT love nibbles...that I can tell by the way his ears are. The nips don't hurt, but still not a behaviour I am happy with. I withdraw my arm with a firm no. He gets this "defiant look" on his face. When I think he's calmer, I go back to playing and again he will nip... a firm no, and now I move.
I just find it weird. I don't, never have, played rough with him....as I do not want that aggressive play. So to recently go from no nipping, to nipping...has me wondering.
Any thoughts would be great...whether you think its because of the neuter, or because of his age (he's 10mos on the 17th).
Thx.
