Hi there, so, I've recently been helping my friend take care of a lot of little barn kittens. So far we have only found 7 of the kittens, but we know there is more. The problem is that we don't have the money to take them ALL in and have them checked out.
Right now, we have been cleaning their eyes and nose with warm water and Vetericyn. Their eyes end up matted shut from a mucus like substance. It's rather gross. But I feel bad for them, so we help out. Their nose is also all plugged up and congested to the point where they have a hard time breathing.
I have already used Vetericyn, and it's helping with their eyes, and I plan on using a warm boiled salt water substance for their nose to see if it helps.
Does anyone have any other fairly cheap remedies we could try?
I'm almost positive that it's not a bacterial infection, just a little respiratory infection.
Thank you so much!
