my cat has an ugly quarter sized bald spot, can she ever grow hair there again? can i report the vet for this?
thanks steve yes i had another vet see it he wasnt concerned..funny storry that my dads new wife wal yellign atthe cat when i stayed there for a year and she stoppped eating, got a full exam and given some cat antidepressanst or something...foolish situation anyway that vet was cool...
Hi,
Side effects of chipping are very rare, but there is no evidence that I've seen that a side effect is the result of the Vet's action. In rare instances, the presence of the chip, a foreign body, provokes a response in the animal. I would have your vet or another vet if you prefer look at the injection site and determine if there is a medical (beyond cosmetic) concern.

fascinating, i wish my cat would pop hers out it snot even up to date? btw guys is it free to update the info? i dont wanna call my original vet cuz my ex gf worked there and shes crazy...its a pointless chip right now lol...Moko is so cute i hate that she has this blad patch as a result of human tampering..meh
I have had it happen to a cat who was vaccinating. You are injecting a foreign object into a cat, this can happen as a result. Unfortunately I do not think it has anything to do with how your vet did it or not, some cats are just more sensitive to things. I actually had a cat (Munchie) whose body rejected his microchip 7 months after implantation. He literally got an abscess at the injection site and it popped out one night.
