Hopefully I'm overreacting. (I usually do). Today during a typical petting session, I noticed a skinny bald strip probably about 1 1/2" long.
I haven't noticed any over grooming and he doesn't appear to have fleas (he does have a cat enclosure, so he is occasionally outdoors and fleas were my first thought).
He hates trips to the vet so while I'll certainly take him if it could be serious, I'm just trying to get an idea of all possible scenarios. I did read that cats will sometimes lick when they have a UTI (which he has had previously) but he is not exhibiting any signs of that and is using the litterbox normally and has a normal output of urine, so I'm probably going to rule that out.
Any ideas would be very helpful! Thank you!
