When Reba was young my mom had encouraged her to bite whens he played, and eventually Reba just took on biting as a normal everyday thing. As she got bigger it was less and less "cute" (don't ask me why my mom EVER thought the biting was cute) and more and more painful. So we were able to train her to STOP biting. DH and I were "bite free" for just over 6 months. Now she has started biting again. Two weeks after we got Mouse she started biting and I can't take it anymore. What we were doing before seems to have stopped working (tapping her on the nose and shouting no) before she used to stop and then run away.... now she bites and runs away.
ARGH! I wish she had never learned it was acceptable to bite in the first place, but that's not the point. I've tried to decide what was the best reason for her biting to narrow it down in the "how to stop aggression" thread, but I really don't know which one is appropriate this time. I think it has a lot to do with the new kitten. *shrugs* I'm at a loss. ANY and all help would be very much appreciated!
