How much food is that? Most of the tinned ones have feeding guidelines printed on them as to how much to feed. A third of a can is not enough, unless it's a very large can.
im feeding most of the food in 3 ounce cans halve an hour i give her the rest before i go to bed i give her more if we give her a hole can she doesnt eat it all and she doesnt like dried up food so we usally have to toss it i wish she wouild get her weight back what is the best way to weigh her she still sleeps with my mom when i sit in my brown chair she will sit on my chest she knows my mom doesnt like it on her so she sits on her lap

@edie56 , I do not know where you live, but I would strongly suggest a veterinary visit without delay, to a different vet than the last one, if possible. And I do not know your spiritual background or beliefs, but if it is not possible to obtain veterinary care, please continue giving Baby cat food, mixed with water in a syringe if necessary, if she will take it. And if you are spiritual at all, please pray for her, and for yourself to know the right things to do. Be aware of Baby, first of all. If she truly needs to leave you, I believe she will make it known to you. I wish I could be there to observe and to offer comfort. As I am unable to do that, I do it from afar. Trust that she is loved and be Guided.
very funny if she thinks im going to put that in my mouth she is going to be mastaken what i ment reguler food my mom cooks for her now im gone all day three days a week but she got a new habit now that she never did she walks in between my legs and with me thats a big nono i use a walker because my right leg works but my left leg doesnt and also she goes downstairs now since i spend most of the time downstairs she never did this until last week i try to keep her in my room downstairs but she doesnt like the door closed and to the one that was confused about going i dont want to be put down can someone give me hints please my family is telling me that its my diccision
While this isn't exactly my decision to make I'll tell you what I think. I think as long as your cat is still active, eating and otherwise enjoying life then there is no reason to put an animal down.
You will know when the time comes.
Here's my experience: My Hector was sleeping all day and could not eat, use the bathroom or clean herself without me helping her she just seemed lifeless. She was "not my Hector" anymore to quote myself.
If you do not feel your cat needs to be put down then she doesn't need to be.
This is a very hard topic. Most members here struggle with this decision.
For the times I have had to decide to let my kitties go -- most of the cats had been ill for some time and had a sudden change in their health, and I felt certain that we made the right decision.
One kitty was a CKD kitty, who slowly got sicker. When her sight started to fail and she was bumping into the walls all the time, we believed it was time to let her go. This was a hard decision, since she had been fading slowly and there was not a clear ending.
No one here can tell you when it is time.
You need to look at several things as you decide.
You need to evaluate Baby's quality of life. This includes how well she eats and drinks, how well she walks, and if she uses her litterbox. Look at her when she sleeps. Is she able to curl up the same way she used to? Does she purr and cuddle anymore?
This is a post from some time ago, and many members have found it useful
The OP has made the hard decision that Baby will be put to sleep, and this thread will now be locked out of respect, as per TCS policy when a cat has passed away.
