We have recently taken in a sick stray cat-I have threads about him in the stray/feral section, his story is kind of a long one.
The vet's first diagnosis was a lung infection. (the others being that he could have asthma, or the beginnings of cancer)
Anyway, a PM from another member brought up the question of abuse...we live in a neighborhood where anything could have happened to him, he was outside all the time.
If he was kicked in his side, could an injury like that cause a lung infection?
The x-rays didn't show the vet anything abnormal but his air sacs are clogged, for lack of a better explanation.
I'm going to call the vet tomorrow & ask questions along this line, but wanted to see if you guys had any ideas about this.
