I like the Clinic I take mine too.  I went through several that were not very good with a chronically ill kitty before I found this one.  The vet I started with isn't there anymore.  She bought an established practice in another state.  They are a little higher than the average in this area but so far I have been able to afford them.  There are a lot of questionable vets out there, at least in this area.

I lucked out with my vet. Not too crazy about the first one I saw at this particular office, but the third time I had to bring Sara in (early 2015), that vet was in surgery and I had to see another one. I've been seeing that second vet ever since. I've occasionally had to see the first one, as well as a third one there, when my vet was out.

I also like my vet office as a whole. The vet techs, the front desk ladies, the patient coordinate... all of them.

I really like that my vet is well aware of the fact that I am gonna research the heck out of everything he tells me, and welcomes any questions or feedback. Sure, he pushes the k/d, which I'm ok with because Maple loves it. I rarely by meds through the vet, and when I did it was usually injectables (like Cerenia and Adequan). But other meds, and k/d, I've gotten elsewhere. I also like that he talks over all options with me in regards to tests that need to be done. We discuss the pros and cons, and if "x" issue is found, what (if anything) would we do about it? If the answer is I wouldn't do anything differently, then we don't do the test.

They are also right next door to me. Can't get more convenient than that.

4. Spay surgery on same cat went a bit funky because it turned out she had an ectopic pregnancy, and they only took out one ovary. That's not their fault at all, but when I asked what my options were to get the other ovary removed after we verified via biopsy that they only got one, they told me to not worry about it and maybe she wouldn't go into heat anymore. She did. They said they could try the surgery again, but they probably wouldn't find it, and I'd be better off leaving it alone. I finally had to suggest to them that perhaps I could take her to a specialist, which they thought was a great idea and recommended one to me. But why was I the one who brought up getting a specialist involved, not them?
Had Looby Loo spayed at a discount vet her shelter used. She was spayed incorrectly & a remnant of ovarian tissue was left behind. Cost me $700 to have the job done properly.
