I applied Advantage flea control on my two cats several hours ago. I applied it on the back of their necks and it's obvious where it was applied as the area is all greasy from the medication. Anyway, one of my cats is licking and biting her belly area still. Is this normal after several hours after application? I applied it around 10am and it's 6pm now.

And it takes 3 months [3 doses] to completely rid your house of fleas. Some animals are so sensitive to fleas that one bite and it sends them itching, so your cat could be itchy for a while.

If you have fleas in the house (environment), get some diatomaceous earth (human/food grade) from your local nursery and sprinkle it down into your carpeting and even your furniture. DE will not harm your cats or humans and will kill the fleas and any hatching eggs.
