I'm expecting a large piece of furniture to arrive on a certain day. I may need to to take time off work in order to accept the delivery.I need to find out the approximate time of delivery. I have tracking; it only tells me the date ("by end of day") of delivery. I signed up online for some sort of service that I thought could give me this info, but it's nothing but typing in the tracking number again. I tried the 1-800 phone number; you just get an automated thing, and again, back to square one with only telling me the date, not the approximate time, of delivery, and there's no provision for talking to a real person. I know that delivery times can wildly vary due to traffic, delays, etc., but our UPS delivery people tend to arrive pretty much on time. I can't remember when Fedex does, but I do think it's during the workday. I even went back into my Walmart account to see the old tracking from previous orders--but the terminal for those was much further away, so I am assuming my package will arrive much earlier in the day. If it weren't for work, I wouldn't worry about it, but I have to take time off if it arrives during the day (plus, they sometimes offer to bring a large item inside the front door for me--at least UPS does. That would be a BIG help!).
If anyone knows the super-duper secret way of finding this out from them, I'd appreciate it! Thanks.
