I recently had a bunch of blood work done and part of that was a thyroid panel... but the doctor mistakenly ordered T3 uptake and not Free T3.
Otherwise everything is within range on that, with TSH being a lower normal - .43 mIU/L on their .4 - 4.5 range (still not the .3 - 3.0 recommended in the US but better than it was before). T4's are normal.
I asked that Free T3 be tested just in case and will be doing that in the morning since I have a botched B6 test that needs to be redone then. He doesn't think it's possible, so is just humoring me...
My maternal grandmother has Grave's disease, my mother has nodules on her thyroid but didn't seek further testing for them
, and since I already have one autoimmune disorder I'm concerned. More so because I have a lot of eye pain that can't be just explained as dry eye or eye strain (it doesn't get better with drops or rest, comes and goes a few times a year since fall 2007) and an optometrist that keeps asking me at every visit if I have any diseases that would affect my eyes...
I have a very high heart rate (but low BP) and what could be some other thyroid symptoms.
Does anyone here have this or a close friend or family member with it? (close enough that you looked at their blood work and have helped/been involved with their treatment)
