Anyone here wear glasses with Transitions lenses?

I had them years ago and did not like them. If you wear them while driving it takes forever for them to get to a dark shade. If have to be practically lying in the sun to have them change. I now just have prescription sunglasses, they are for me the better choice.

Transition lenses work by applying a substance to the lense which reacts with UV rays to turn darker. Thus how dark they go and how fast depends completely on the mixture and amount of UV. Which is also why they don't turn dark in cars. I loved mine, but I had to have them taken out for new lenses and couldn't afford to get them this time around, which is just as well as I've only had these lenses for a year? And I now need new ones again.
