Tilly came to us as a 3 yo "stray" who was chipped and spayed. Incredibly friendly and loving and sweet as can be...even growls in protest at removal from laps because she is the quintessential definition of a lap cat.
During any car trip she has diarrhea sometimes more than once in the carrier. Have tried double dose calming treats plus feliway etc...and still no relief. It is pitiful.
Thankfully she does not have to be in a car often...but we are moving in 3 weeks and I would like to see if I can help her.
She is piteously cooperative and grateful when I clean her up afterwards. She isn't fnd of the carrier itself but is quiet when car is parked/stopped. If in motion she just mews heart breakingly...and poops all over.
Vet seems nonchalant when I brought it up. Said some cats just do that.
I often wonder if she is terrified of cars because of her past...a 3 yo chipped and spayed family housecat doesn't just turn up without attempts at finding her. [emoji]128528[/emoji]
Basically asking for any tips or advice, or even just your cat carrier poonami stories.
