I gave my dog and cats turkey today, they all love it!
I thought we were being bad, 4 of us with a 15 pound turkey. The kitties have gotten some and will continue to get some over the next several days. I don't go crazy with the herbs or onion and garlic. I just use melted butter, salt and pepper. That is how it was made when I was growing up and I continue with that.
We have a 23-lb turkey with only three people. You bet the critters are getting some turkey.
Folks just gotta make sure to not give it to them if it's seasoned with things bad for them (like onion and garlic). I'm not sure if it seems into the meet if it's on the skin, but not sure I would chance it.
Considering it was something we got for free (from our home association) we were sure it would be about 10 lbs and no-name brand. Nope, it was a 23 lb Butterball.

I did get a pre brined turkey from Trader Joe's but they just use salt water for the brine.
That is so sweet!!
Even the stray cat who has made our porch his HQ gets a special plate
There was 3 of us with a 9 pound ham and a 5 pound turkey breast. The kids definitely got some turkey.
