Anyone else walk their cat?

My first cat was a stray I brought in. He did not want to be indoor only, and I did not want him outdoors roaming. So I trained him to walk on the harness and leash. Mr. Amber Cat aka Amber knew where I kept the leash and would meow and scratch at the closet door when he wanted to go out. We had to walk around the apartment complex twice - not once, and not 3 times. TWICE. Sun, rain, snow, heat and cold, I only refused him if it was icy underfoot. I used a retractable leash, Amber would walk at the very end, 10 feet ahead of me. He'd check under cars in the parking lot, under bushes and shrubs. Sometimes as we crossed one of the parking lots my feet would scrunch on the gravel. Amber would stop, stand up straight, turn just his head and GLARE at me over his shoulder. The message was VERY clear: QUIET, HUMAN!! Then he would resume his 'tiny tiger' routine.
