I have two pet rats, they just turned a year old in May and i am worried for them. I brought Kirra home and was showing her around the house, i figured i would stand near their cage just so they knew she was there before they saw her without me. Well the one looked at her as if to say HUH? the other OMG he darted so fast across his cage to the tunnel system i thought he would hurt himself. Since than i barely see them out of the tunnel system. The one that was HUH with her comes out now and again but the other i always see his little black spot in the tunnel. They are in their senior years and not wanting to be played with much anymore so i dont get to take them out as often, but my worry is that her pressance has him petrified. I cant put them off in a seperate room as we only have 4 rooms in my house, kitchen, living room , and mine and my children's room. Because of so few rooms, Kirra's litter box and food are in my room so the kids dont mess with it and the rats cage is in there as well because they play with the water bottle. Any ideas, i would love for them to get along. I had 13 rats before and two cats and the momma and daddy rat got along great with my cats, but i fear this time that wont happen. Kirra doesnt go over to their cage right now, partly because she is in a blah mood with being sick. But my worry is what will happen when she gets her strength back and wants to be nosey.
