A beignet is something I call carbworthy
they are little puffy squares (deepfried and then dipped in confectioners sugar)...they remind me of what in my home state would be called pizza fritte - fried pizza dough then rolled in regular sugar. They might remind you of a great square homemade doughnut.

Sure...oysters are a plain protein, can't imagine they wouldn't be allowed on your diet...you will have to work in any use of crackers or hot sauce or tomato sauce (however you like your oysters on the half shell)...some stuffed oyster recipes are with cheese and spinach (I think) and maybe minimal bread crumbs..again, could be worked into your diet I'd think

I just looked it up, yep I can eat oysters! Yay!
Its been so long since i had them and I am looking forward to all the seafood I can eat down there!
