This newish product 'Compeed' Cold Sore patch, they are great they have this special butterfly packet applicator , so you dont touch the sore & cross-infect. They are clear so they are very discreet and you leave it on so you dont have to keep re-applying like a cream

Tincture of Amonia aka as smelling salts,works like magic!! Especially if you apply it when the cold sore first flares up! It does burn for a second,But it works!! It will stop it from turning into a blister!
