Hello all, a friend's cat, Pippen, is very sick and I'm looking for ideas. He's at the vet now and the vet cannot figure out what is wrong. Tuesday my friend came home to find Pippen on the floor unable/unwilling to move with blood everywhere. Originally we thought one of the dogs had hurt him. she took him to the e-vet and there were no injuries at all but he was shocky with a low temp. the dog had scratches on her nose and at first we thought that is where the blood came from. Wed. afternoon, his breathing became labored and when she took him to her regular vet, he ran blood tests. Pippen's blood had a yellow color to it indicating liver damage. His blood tests indicate renal failure, liver imparement, very low white blood count and he has had a fever now for a couple of days. He has been tested for both Feline aids and FeLuke and both are negative. We now think the blood in the house came from Pippen having a nosebleed. We don't know what is wrong with him and any ideas would be appreciated.
