The whole story of Nintendogs was the creator adopted a new dog, and was taking it out on walks. He loved the way that dogs would "regard" each other, and thought that it would make a unique game. Lets hope he adopts a cat soon. Perhaps it will be like real life where you have to put them alone in a room for two weeks, and do a slow introduction.
