I have a beautiful kitten we rescued at 4 weeks old. Theodore was bottle fed for the first 3 weeks then graduated to kitten food. He is now almost 5 months old and weighs in at almost 10 lbs. He is not over weight and has huge paws. From what I understand his mother was a tortoise shell, weighing in at about 9 lbs. Father is said to have been Maine Coon. From what I have read the average kitten at 5 months weighs about 5 lbs, or 1 lb per month. Does this mean I can expect Theodore to be huge? He is already the size of my 2 year old female.
