I don't believe she was trolling and I think some of you were a little over the top. You have to take into account what is customary in the area of their world and all of us can help educate each other. There are many of our Brit and Aussie friends that would say that we are cruel to keep our pets inside. They have a good point of having indoor/outdoor cats (health reasons) and indoor pet owners do, too. Let's just present the facts and let people make their own informed decisions. I don't think it's a matter of who loves their pets more than another.

I am sad that this new member has gotten the impression that we are not a friendly site when all she was trying to do was share her excitement over something exciting in her life.
