Alfie is in the hospital

Is your cat on antibiotics or other medications? My cat stopped eating the last time he had issues. The medication was upsetting his stomach.

If he is nobody has mentioned it. Everything they've given him up until this afternoon was via iv. He was on buprenex (or however that's spelled) though in case that helps.

Aww...poor guy!  It is a harrowing experience...we have been dealing with this since 12/23/14...our cat Louie blocked 3 times in a week and a half and had to get the PU surgery.  Just make sure that when Alfie is home that you watch him carefully to see if he blocks again.  Louie blocked partially within a few hours of coming home and had to be taken to the Emergency vet.  I am feeding half Purina UR food and half Blue Harmony to all of the boys and Fancy Feast with extra water to all of them now.  Sending you lots of prayers...hoping that everything works out for Alfie and you get some rest
