My cat just had a litter of five kittens. The first four she chewed the cords but not on the fifth one. She also did not eat the last three placentas. She we be concerned? Thank you in advance for any advice!

You can cut the last cord with blunt scisssors. Leave about an inch / inch and a half.

You can also take away the last placentas. Mom is full and tired.

Please help mom to clean the kittens up with a damp, warm towel.

Where do you think?
Some cats just don't want to eat the placenta. As long as mom and babies are otherwise healthy and babies don't have it obstructing their face just clean it up.

Have babies begun feeding? If mom doesn't clean babies you may have to help her out.
