Hi, my cat is heavily pregnant. I'm not sure how long she has left as she went awol for a couple of weeks and came back huge just before Easter. She's had s bit of discharge yesterday and her temperature dropped two days ago. She has had colostrum for a week and I can feel the milk glands swollen behind her lower nipples. Recently her nipples have become 'crusty' it looks like they're covered in dry skin, someone suggested it could be dried milk but she hasn't been leaking milk that I know of. I only know about the colostrum because my mum's friend who's a breeder checked for it.
Will the kittens be able to access the milk if they're coated in whatever this 'crust ' is?
Many thanks in advance!
