Many of you know I breed Persian Cats. I try to provide as much information to prostective owners as I can and have come up with a baby book that is basically a binder with useful info. As the last litter went to mostly show homes I didn't have to include much.

I have articles that I have gleaned from this site, and others (with permission) to pass on information in the following subjects:

Innapropriate Scratching/Scratching posts
Litterboxes and potty problems
Traveling with kitty
Importance of spay and neuter (also in contract)
Grooming
Introducing to other pets
Declawing
Parasites
Pedigree
Enclosures
Photo page kitten from newborn to 11 weeks
"Firsts" that owner can fill in
business card holder page for groomer, petshopes, vet,
boarding ect...
Shot records
Blue slip for registration
PKD scans of parents or grandparents
List of helpful web sites

Mailed ahead of the delivery of the kitten is

Poisonous plant list
Kitten proofing the home
Local suppliers of Royal Canin
Contract with SASE

I need a clearer head than mine to help me put this in some sort of comprehensive order! The subjects will be copied on different color paper for easier access in the binder. Hubby and I are tryint to make a Table Of Contents...just can't figure out the order!

I have 6 weeks to get these assembled for the new homes. It may seem like alot of time... but it's not LOL

Any ideas for adding or deleting subjects is welcome. HELP

Sue thanks! This helps alot!

I don't mail kittens, they are either driven to the new owners or shipped with Kelly (a contact I have) who travels with the kitten inside a plane to the state of the new home. The new owners meet the plane when it lands and pick up the new addition of the family.

No problem! I've had kittens shipped to me in cargo and hated the experience. One kitten had a 6 hour delay! This way they are safe inside the cabin with heat/air conditioning, people, no falling boxes, luggage, or big dogs to scare them.

So they can actually ride with the people on the plane? I always thought they had to go down beneath with the luggage

Cats and human pregnancy

There are soooo many falls rumors out there that need to be set straight.

Great idea! any links or articles that I can use would be welcome! I will have to get permission to reprint! I like to give credit to the people who write these helpful articles and always ask!

Thanks for the input! I knew I was asking the right folks!

If the kitten travels alone it has to travel in cargo. I don't like kittens all alone on such a long flight. I have heard of crates arriving empty at the end of the flghts. Crates crushed or broken by falling luggage and large dogs placed next to the kittens crate barking all the way to the next destination.
Just had to find a better way!

i just read something in cat fancy about how it is good to have two or more cats because that will lessen the chance of your new baby being allergic to cats by 70% if i find the artical again, i;ll let you know what issue it is in, or mail you the pages
