My kitten Scratchy is currently living with my parents while I relocate. She has been an inside cat with a litter box her whole life (she is 10 months old) and now she has a huge garden to run around in and loves her new life, but no more litter box.
Unfortunately for my parents, after they have brought her in at night, every morning they wake up and she has pooped inside in one of two places; next to the lounge or on the papasan chair (ew!). She is very good at going outside during the day and has no problems whatsoever, but I'm not sure how to help her with this problem at night.
Since she moved in with them as well, she is eating like a horse and growing at a rapid rate - she used to be a tiny thing, and still is, but with all the extra exercise she is really having a growth spurt.
I've had a look through the other posts but most of them seem to be involved mainly with peeing inappropriately.
Does anyone have any advice for deterrents or behavioural methods?
Thanks in advance!
