I have posted a lot about this same kitten Cookie, so I hope not offend.
I am justwondering what things can be attributed to a kitten's behavior if she is taken from her mom at say 4 weeks old and turned in to a shelter at that time.
They say one should not adopt a kitten or take it from it's mom until it is at least 8 weeks old. I got one from a shelter when she was 8 weeks old, and the shelter records show she was 4 weeks old when they got her.
What can I attribute in her behavor toward being away from her mom so young? I have had a lot of difficulty with her with Herpes, litter box spradic urinating outside the box, she is a little skittish and extremely quiet. I have never ehard her hiss or growl when my other bigger kitten plays with her. She has a very quiet high meow.
She does seem to be growing nicely and is playful. Her tests come up clean except for the herpes. She did have diarrhea and now has just a soft stool.
