So we're having a little heat wave in the Northeast USA right now--it was like 90 degrees today. My little guy hasn't shed his winter coat yet, and he started panting because he was so hot.
So, I thought for a moment... can I open the fridge and hold him in front of it? Maybe put an ice bag on him? I opened the freezer, and there it was: a frozen pork loin (packaged, of course).
What the heck, I decided. Let me hold it on his back and see what he does. I thought for sure he'd take off like a rocket when I came at him with a big frozen pork loin, but to my complete surprise, he LOVED IT!!!!
I held it to his back, and started rubbing it around on his fur. He sat right down and let me do it, purring like crazy!!! I could have gone on like that for a while, but I had to get ready for work.
It definitely cooled him off!!!
