Can anyone recommend a good vet book for home for diagnoising cat illnesses and first aid. My book is out dated being written in 1989.
It hasn't been updated since it was published in 1979 and I'm not sure you can still purchase it. If you ever get into a situation where you would need to give CPR, apply a tourniquet, test for dehydration, etc, its a great basic book, but it is a book for beginners. What I like most about it is that it's organized by situation. For example, a situation would be vomiting. When you turn to that section, it takes you through a list of questions to determine whether you can work a home treatment, call a vet, or rush to the ER. It gives you a very good sense on how urgent the situation is and the best way to respond.I will look for that book, Taking Care Of Your Cat.
I looked in Amazon.com. They only have it used for around 4.00It hasn't been updated since it was published in 1979 and I'm not sure you can still purchase it.
