7 month old male kitten too "fond" of couch cushion HELP

My 7 month old tabby boy FInn has recently begun humping the couch cushion and a blanket. He was desexed at 12 weeks and has never done this before hes been with us for four months and there is no other abnormal behaviour for him but i dont know what to do or why hes started doing this. Someone please help!

The hormones leave the body six weeks to four months after a cat has been neutered. Cats do this for much the same reasons as humans do, to comfort themselves, to relieve stress, because they are bored etc.Can you pinpoint any changes at your place around the time his behaviour changed?
