My seven month old blue british shorthair/scottish fold mix Tuffs has had two small bald spots on his side since we took him home at 4 months old. The bald spots haven't grown or spread, and the exposed skin is not inflamed, scaly or flaky. He never seems to pay any special attention to these spots, and I'm not even sure he knows they're there. We noticed a few days after adopting him that he has small 'dents' in his fur as a result of this, they're not very visible because the surrounding fur covers them up. I'm attaching a picture of one spot, the other is basically identical and located maybe two inches away -- does anyone have any idea what this is? Our vet examined him and offered to test for ringworm but said it's unlikely due to the appearance and the fact that it hasn't grown or spread, and that it doesn't seem to bother him. The test would've been over $100 so we decided against it. I'd appreciate any insight you guys have!
