I can't believe they allowed this person to keep even one dog after this, especially since they are considering prosecuting her.  Good grief!

It's best to allow hoarders to keep a few animals, spayed and neutered, of course. They don't intend to mistreat the animals, they just got overwhelmed. It's not the same as deliberate animal abusers. Her mental state would likely be far worse if they didn't allow her to keep any.

It is a very serious mental illness for sure and the cats are the ones who end up suffering. I am hoping some of those cats will find a better life and some will have a humane ending. Breaks my heart to see that but know it is a reality in so many places. :shame: for those cats.
