I live in a very rural area and nearest vet is 3 hours away. I got a new kitten and took her to get her fixed and vaccinated, when I got her home she tried to eat and vomited....this went on for two days until I got an idea. I use holistic medicine as often as possible and I take ginger powder when my stomach is upset, so I put a little bit in some water and using a dropper gave my cat about 2 ml by syringe. After about a minute she immediately began to eat. She threw up only a little a couple more times during the day so I repeated the same procedure at night and in the morning. Next day she was able to down some cooked turkey breast and by the end of the day had kept everything down and was eating cat food normally! I was amazed that it worked but it might be something to try for others who have a cat not being able to keep down food if you can't get to the vet right away!
