Hi everyone! I've just joined up as I'm trying to find as much information as possible, Last wednesday I rescued a feral kitten that was found in my works car park, he is a gorgeous little thing and he is finally coming out of his shell and even woke me up today by pouncing on my face! I've never had a cat as a pet before so it's all new to me!
I took him to the vets and she said he was about 5 weeks old and said he would be half way through the weening process with his mum, she gave me kitten milk and some high protein high energy food for him which he is taking very well!
He hasn't taken any water yet, we have tried 3 different types of bowls all spaced out for him, tried syringing water in and also tried him drinking from the kitchen tap but this just scared him! Should I be worried that he hasn't drank any water or is it too early for water for him yet?? If so when should he start having water and any tips to help get him to drink some water?
Also we are trying to figure out if he is going to be long haired or short haired, what does everyone think?
Thank you
